See you at The Great American Trucking Show!

See you at The Great American Trucking Show!

Throughout our journey to make the documentary Be Prepared to Stop, there has been one constant connecting every aspect of our research: commercial vehicle operators. Most people call them truck drivers, but it was pointed out to us that you don’t call pilots “plane drivers,” and engineers aren’t “train drivers,” and controlling an 80,000 pound vehicle on crowded roads every day is more than just “driving.” We’ve gotten to know quite a few commercial vehicle operators and we’re so excited to bring the film to one of their largest gatherings, The Great American Trucking Show!

We’ll be in Dallas August 24th – 26th talking to independent owner-operators, fleet managers, company leadership, and supporting organizations about the how we can engage policy makers and the general public in a non-partisan discussion about one of the most challenging issues facing us – our overcrowded, underfunded infrastructure.

If you’re going to be at GATS, we’d love to meet you. We will be screening the film and popping up popcorn in Ballroom C on Friday and Saturday.

The rest of the time we’ll be out on the floor saying hello, handing out our highly collectible buttons, and hopefully making some new friends. (We also hear there’s barbecue, so you might find us near the brisket.)

Let us know if you’ll be there. Drop us a line at info@bepreparedtostop.org. We can’t wait to meet you!
