One Day Without a Truck

One Day Without a Truck

One of the key themes of our film centers around the idea that without a reliable supply chain we simply would not be able to have the lives we have. Any trucker will quickly tell you that everything you use every day – food, clothing, gasoline, office and school supplies, furniture, Starbucks coffee cups – it all comes to you on a truck. And that truck needs a functioning roadway to get to you. Our film, basically, is about survival.

Throughout the documentary we pause for a moment to show you how quickly things would change if suddenly those trucks couldn’t get through. We asked our wonderful graphics designer, Scott Grossman, to create a series of visuals to illustrate what we’d lose if this invisible, 24-hour-a-day lifeline ceased to function. Similar to what we have on our website, “5 Days Without a Truck” demonstrates how soon we’d all be hungry, cold, and out of all the things we need. Take a look at Day One and then tell us your favorite thing that comes on a truck!
